Humanscale reports 1st quarter sales up 11.1%

Friday 9 May 2014

For the 1st quarter of 2014, privately-owned Humanscale Corporation reported total sales of $62.9M, an 11.1% increase over Q1 2013.
Humanscale’s Q1 increase was driven by a 10.3% increase in booked orders in North America, as well as a 9.4% increase in sales for Humanscale International. Growth in North America was driven by a increased monitor arm, lighting and Float height-adjustable table sales.
Humanscale International's increase was driven by strong monitor arm and ergo tool demand, accompanied by continued growth in Asia. Strong growth in China continues following the recent opening of the Humanscale showroom in Beijing.
Direct-to-consumer sales continued the robust growth trend from 2013, citing 35.7% growth in Q1 over the same quarter in 2014.
"We had a good start to the year, but we anticipate much larger growth in the second half of 2014 as we launch new products in the sit/stand, lighting and seating categories," said Robert King, Humanscale founder and CEO
