Danish office furniture companies to merge

The two Danish office furniture companies, Holmris and Flexform have announced a merger.
The deal concentrates on the future opportunities and the way the two companies work in their separate market sectors. Holmris concentrates on the private sector from its headquarters in Jutland, whereas Flexform is primarily aiming at the public sector market from its own HQ in Zealand.
"Our vision is to merge two successful and financially sound organisations with optimal synergy power and thus become Denmark's strongest and best supplier of furniture solutions for the professional market", said Michael Thimgaard, Director of Flexform.
"We have the widest corporate account agreement programs with several of Denmark's largest companies, and the largest regional service spread in regions and cities - this merger will give our customers the absolute top options," Michael Thimgaard continued.
The market segmentation will be continued in the future; the companies' consultants will continue to work in the specific customer segments in which they have developed their expertise and competence.
"Specialist knowledge is required if we are to meet increasing demands and are to be included in complicated processes with our customers. We will be able to ensure end-users with the best and most functional solutions", said Director of Holmris, Niels H. Lauritzen.
"This merger enables us to offer greater opportunities to utilize our expertise and create new, exciting and innovative interior design solutions to the delight of all our customers", he added.
Holmris+Flexform will be headquartered in Køge with several regional offices to ensure a good geographical coverage of the entire Danish market.
Holmris+Flexform employ approximately 85 people and represent an annual turnover of approximately DKK 350 million (EUR 47 million).
The board of directors will consist of CEO Michael Thimgaard and Marketing Director Thomas Junker Wiberg.
